Corn Snake Question??
Ok so Ive decided to get a corn snake this christmas, I want to know is what i need for it to live a healthy life...ok this what im going to get for him/her....20 gallon aqarium, aspen bedding, water bowl, hiding spot, heat lamp dnt know what watt, theomometer, and pinkies every 10 weekend...does it sound good and do i need anything else
answer: If your going to get a baby start with a 10 gallon tank. 20 gallons will be to much for a baby && will probably stress him out.
You need a hide on the warm side and cool side of the tank, a water bowl big enough for him to fit his whole body in if he wants to, && a 100 watt basking lamp should be good. That's what I use. You might also want to buy an under tank heater. this will keep a good night time temp and a good extra heat source if you need it. If you are going to buy one of these make sure that you have at least 3 inches of bedding above the pad, or your snake will get burned. The mats are only about 27 watts but they get hot, trust me.

Idk what you mean about pinkies about every 10 weekend? But you should feed your snake(baby) a pinkie every 4-5 days. As it gets older every 6-7 days. When it is full grown you can usually feed it an adult mouse every 2 weeks. But every snake is different. Just watch out for fat clumps, usually by it's tail. These are uncommon in babies since they grow so fast. But after 2-3 years start watching out, they can be deadly.
Good luck

I would also recommend a heating pad, it's the only source I use, and I've actually had to get a thermostat to lower the temperature. The under heat helps Corns to digest. If you are getting the 20 gallon, be sure to have plenty of things in the tank to keep him hidden and occupied. I would recommend toilet paper tubes or plastic vines.
Don't really matter what watt, I use a 60 and I've used a 100, just gotta situate the light and the heat in the room to maintain a healthy temperature in the tank. Not sure what you mean about pinkies every 10 weekends, should b having a pinky every weekend. Once a week that is. Besides that you should be good to go, just make sure your substrate doesn't have any chemicals in it.
