Blue tonged skink or Bearded Dragon?
I have a Snake now but I want a lizards witch lizard like to be held and is easier to take care of.
answer: Though they're two very different lizards, there's not much in them. Both are good beginner lizards, dead easy to look after, and with regular handling will tolerate being held (note that lizards never "like" to be held- the best you can get is for them to tolerate it). I personally like skinks more, but that is my own opinion and has nothing to do with the ease of owning them.
If you can, visit a reptile club or show and see if you can handle some skinks and dragons- that might help you to decide. Whichever one you go for, they're both great lizards and you'll love them.

Bearded Dragons are cooler and are more calm, but they come at a larger price with all their accessories than a skink. So I would go with a skink if you didnt have the money for a bearded dragon. I recommend getting a leopard gecko because they are friendly and dont require as much accessories. They also live for along time like a bearded dragon. I know this because I have a leopard gecko that is almost 5 and is still healthy hope this helps.

Young BTS tend to be hissy when young unless you get from a breeder who handles them from birth. But once they calm down they are very cool and easy to handle.
No reptile "likes" to be handled but they adapt to it and some get comfortable with it and will sometimes fall asleep when you hold them.
Young bearded dragons tend to be "flighty" at first but once they calm down they will cling to your clothing or climb around on you. A BTS is not capable of doing this due to their short legs.
I prefer my adult BTS to my adult Beardies they seem to be more personable and willing to interact with people. My bearded dragons are still cool and look better in my opinion and they love exploring my house. But my Blue Tongue Skinks seem to stick closer to me and are more "pet like".
Do some research on care and people personal experiences and see which one fits into your life the best. I personally don't think you can go wrong with either if you get them from the right people.
bearded dragons are a lot more hand able but they blue tongue skinks are still handable ha ha ha.

i currently own 2 bearded dragons but when i held a blue tongue skink in the shop i was really wanting one. i would have to say the bearded dragons.
