wat size mouse or rat for a 3 ft. 2 inch ball python?

shes about 1 yr old a normal
Feed a rat that is the same size as the thickest part of the snake.
Girth is a better guideline than length. Generally, rodents should be about the size of your snake at her widest point. Or, if you have a scale, feed rodents that are approximately 15% of her weight.

As I said before, I can't make a definitive statement without knowing her weight or seeing a picture of her, but I would guess small adult mice or rat pups would be appropriate food items for her.
Mice don't have as much protien in them as rats do. So get her on rats. At a year old depending on how slow you've been feeding her until now, I'd think a smaller sized MEDIUM rat would be appropriate. They can eat a rat that is 1.25X their own girth quite easily. The meal should leave a small bulge in your snakes belly for up to 2 days if you're feeding the right size.
DON'T BUY ANOTHER ONE TO WATCH THEM EAT EACH OTHER ! a snake should be fed a mouse or a rat that is approximately the same diameter as the snake. if you are unsure of yourself then go one size smaller. sounds like a small rat would be the right size.
ask for small RATS in the pet/reptile store ... rats are alot better then mice for nutrients etc ... so feed it rats rather then mice ... my 5 foot boa is on medium rats ... so small would suffice ... the rat should be the same width as the widest part on ur snakes body
I have 2 ball pythons 2ft and 1ft, and I feed them a small male mouse once a week. My 6 ft. boa, I feed a small rat every two weeks. My male ball python will only eat male mice.
I guess try to switch it to rat pups. It'll be eating bigger rats soon enough so scent the pups like mice then do that less and less so it gets used to eating rat smelling things. Have fun!: P
you can get a mouse that is the size of your snakes width. Witch would probably be a full grown mouse.
Buy another ball python the same size, and watch them eat each other.
no mouse ... small rat
