how can i bring the humidity in my Brazilian rainbow boas ta

I just got her last night and the tank has been consistently at 60% humidity i have the big water bowl and the humidity hide with the moss i have been spraying the tank every 6 to 8 hours and there is condensation on the glass but i just cant seem to bring the humidity up! will this harm the snake and what else can i do to bring it up?
An adult BRB should have a humidity of around 75%. If not, respiratory infection and death can be the result . Since you are using the word "tank", I'm assuming you have your snake housed in a glass aquarium type tank. This is the worst possible housing for a BRB because it is almost impossible to properly control humidity in a tank with a screen top.

If you can afford one of the commercial snake cages on the market (BoaMaster, Boaphile, Repti-racks, etc.), Then by all means get one. Humidity and proper temperature are a snap to maintain in these enclosures. Also, since they only have glass on one side, the snake feels much more secure.

If you can't afford a proper enclosure, there are some things you can do to maintain humidity in a glass tank, though managing 75% may not be possible. First of all, switch to an UTH mat if you don't already have one. Get at least an on-off thermostat to control the heat mat. Cover at least two thirds of the screen with foil, or better yet, get a piece of plexiglass cut to that size and lay it over the top of the tank. This will help keep your humidity from escaping out of the top of the tank. Covering 2/3 of the tank with a damp towel will also help until you can get the foil or the plexi.

Good luck with your BRB. They are among the most beautiful of snakes.
60 isn't that bad, if you have a glass tank with a screen top, you may want to cover half to 2/3 the lid with tin foil, and add an under the tank heater, it will heat the moist bedding and create humidity.
