can you change your bearded dragons colour safely?

yeah, so i no that bearded dragons come in many different colours, but iwas wondering if your bearded dragon can change colour, like if you feed him lots of red peppers, will he become red, or if greens make them go blue, or any other ways that can make my dragon more vibrant, but safely.

thnx:) x
I spray my beardie with a vitamin color enhancer and it seems to be working. So yes it is possible.
You could give him vitamins once a week in his food. It's just a powder you sprinkle over it. Also give him calcium everyday. Make sure he gets a lot of different things like fruits and veggies but feed him dandelions/greens every day. Mine LOVES cantaloupe, carrots, green beans, mealies, and dandelions. I do make him eat other things too so he has a well rounded diet. He eats grapes, honeydew, strawberries, and peppers. Those are his normal foods but if we have something special like corn or turtle mush I give him that too. Also he gets the normal red beardie pellets they have at pet stores but that is by no means enough for them.
Healthy beardies typically display their best colors. Make sure he is getting a varied diet and has the right amount of UVB lighting. Aside from that, you can't really change your beardies color. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Actually, Albert, (this is kind of irrelevent) if a human eats a lot of carrots, the excessive carotin will cause their skin to turn orange-ish.
NO. Plain and simple ... NO. There is NO way to change an animals color by feeding it food that is a certain color. Sorry it's a stupid idea. You could eat a billion pounds of carrots and you won't look any more orange or "vibrant" than you do know.

Don't do this, you could end up hurting your lizard.
