My bearded dragon won't eat when i watch him after I put crickets in his cage yet when I leave and come back 30 mins later everything is gone, one of the reasons I got him was to be able to watch him eat but he wont in front of me why is this and how can i change it
Give him time to get used to you. You're a stranger to him, and he's obviously shy. Try to tempt him with treats from your hand - like silkworms . It will make him warm up to you quicker.
he or she is just getting comfortable with you, Mine will eat in front on me, but not my kids, I think to much stress from unknown figures, that are kinda loud and wild. make sure your interacting with your beardie too, of coarse not to much to soon, but enough so it is getting used to you.
My bearded dragon won't eat in front of strangers unless it's crickets. Your beardie may just not be comfortable with you yet. Spend as much time as you can around him. Cuddle with him at night. Eventually, he should warm up to you.
Well, if you just got him it might taken him awhile to get used to your prescence. If you really want to watch him eat, set up a camera to record, drop the crickets, leave and the walk the movie later
