I saw this advertised on a local ad site for sale, it says it is a leopard gecko but it does not look like one to me. I am thinking of buying it, just wondering if anyone knows what it is, either common name, scientific name, or anything else about it. Let me know if the picture doesn't work. Thanks.

Definitely not a leopard or a tokay gecko
.... Sorry i cant help with saying exactly what it is though.
Since it clearly is NOT a leopard gecko, get in contact with the seller and ask them what species it is really.
Alternatively, post the picture for ID here:

Definitely not a leo or tokay gecko. And I have my doubts that it is a golden gecko as well due to the structure and color but that could just be the quality of the picture.

If there was a better picture it would be so much easier to identify the species. I say get it either way to at least try to get it proper care if the person who has it thinks it is a leopard gecko.
Here a list of gecko species along with pictures. If you get a better picture you can compare them and get the gecko proper care.

definitely not a leo. they dont have sticky pads on their feet. it looks like some type of day gecko or a mediterranian gecko
That doesn't look like a leo to me either. Maybe a tokay? Hard to tell from just that pic .
