Should we buy scenary for our baby bearded dragon?

He has on several occassions puffed up his beard and waved at his reflection. Will he eventually get over it or will it cause him alot of stress?
Agreed - watch him to see if he gets used to it. If he goes black more often than not, then best to get him some scenery. It's only the males that wave, so he might actually like having someone to wave at! LOL
Sheila,

Nothing to worry about this is normal behaviour. Your Dragon just thinks it's another male in the reflection.

Adding a backdrop will obviously stop this and may make the appearance better.

If your Dragon doesn't stop doing it on his own I'd add a scenery back drop just to prevent him stressing a bit.
I have two beardies and one of mine (we think it's a male) often does the same .

He puffs up his beard and it turns black. The other one waves at him (apparently a sign of submission to the more dominant beardie).

They occassionally chase their reflection in the glass when they get bored too.

I think it's just something they all do, no need to worry.:)

Goodluck with your baby beardie! Mine are quite

large now and not as cute as they used to be haha.:)
He should be fine. Unless it is really really reflective. But if its you standard glass tank it should be okay. My baby beardies often chase their reflections and run into them and get bored and go back to basking and what not. I would watch him though. If it seems like he isn't getting used to it I would join a reptile forum and post a thread. Or ask a breeder.

Best of luck!
Yeah why not, its always good to make your beardie feel more at home
