HELP! He threw the turtle! What should I do?

My bro brought home a baby turtle (about 4x4). He was lively and walking around a lot, but ... well ... My bro is young, and some times he does kinda stupid things without thinking ... He was holding it and it snapped at him. He got scared and threw it two or three feet and it landed in a hard container!: * (Poor turtle!: * (Now he's not moving much. Is there anything I can do? Is this the end for Osnap? (His name is Osnap lol)
Maybe you should let him go where you found him, so that if he lives, it is in a better environment.
Wait and see what happens after the turtle has had time to calm down & feel safe again. Remember that turtles defense when frightened or threatened or traumatized is to hide in their shell and be as motionless as possible.

It would be a good idea for you to step in and help your little brother learn how to handle the turtle. If he's that afraid that the turtle might bite him, then maybe he should wear gloves when handling the turtle. Getting scared and throwing the turtle when it snapped at him wasn't necessarily stupid, it's a natural reaction that a person learns to overcome by learning how to handle an animal safely & developing confidence as they gain experience handling the animal positively & safely & avoiding situations which cause the animal to become fearful and bite.

Depending on the species of turtle you have, the turtle too, should calm down as it becomes accustomed to positive human handling & learns that humans CAN handle it without scaring or hurting it.
This reminds me, my friend had a turtle , she brought it to school, I picked it up and for some odd reason I got scared and dropped it on the hard table real hard ... it was alright lol and always rmbr turtles are meant to be slow
idk, hes probably dead
