i want to keep my spotted turtle, Cornelius, for the winter, how should i set up the stuff for hibernation, i already have a fish tank and i was gonna put her in the basement, what else do i need or should do?
I suggest that you don't. Cornelius will fare better if she is allowed to stay active. The only time to let your turtle go dormant is in preparation for breeding.

hibernation is not needed in captivity, unless your going to breed?
