There actually tasting and smelling at the same time with there tongues like that. they can obviously smell there there noses but when there licking like that there smelling and tasting. they ear with the holes in there heads (they are able to close there ears too!) and feel? there brains are the size of lime beans they dont feel much other then the necessary feelings if you could call it that. Like fear and hunger but not many more . They dont feel love or empathy or anything like that. there brains just arent big enough or well devolped enough to feel much.
