Is a 5 gallon tank ok for a baby breaded dragon?
i want to get one but my brother tossed out my 10 gallon tank and now all i have is a 5 gallon tank now. And i know you have to get a bigger tank when they get older but is it ok until i can find a bigger one? and if you know where i can get one cheap please tell me in your answer.
answer: No it is not ok just wait until you get a bigger tank around 20 0r 30 gallons are ok ,10 gallons are to small.I Say this because they like to explore and 5 gallon will not provide that exploring space for the also in a five gallon you will probably over heat him.The heat light for basking that you need will get extremely hot in a small area like a 5 or 10gallon baby reptiles tend to heat up fast. And with a 5gallon or 10gallon tank there Will be no space for him to go and cool down when it gets to hot so you will see him soaking a lot due to extreme hots and eventually he will perish due to that.If you do not have the money right now for a 20 or 30 gallon tank you might want to consider craigslist.com there are some great deal on 30 and 20 gallon tanks. If not just wait until you get a bigger tank to get your bearded dragon.Hope i helped!
No! A five gallon tank is far to smaller even for a baby bearded dragon. You won't be able to set up a heat gradient and not to mention you will fry the poor thing. A baby bearded dragon needs a basking temp of 105-110 degrees. If you can't find larger tanks in a store try craigslist. You can often find great deals there. Aim for a 20-30 gallon tank. If you only want to buy one tank you could get the final size (55) and divide it by cardboard or something.

HECK NO! you can not keep a baby berdie in a 5 gallon tank that is simply wayyyy to small the baby dragon needs a 20 gallon tank they are pretty active when they are young and ingoy the space and if you have a small tank then your dragon will not grow and will get sick posibly

No, it needs room to move around and will quickly be way to big for that tank if it isn't when you first get it. try craigslist for a good deal on a 20 or 30 gallon tank or bigger.

I suggest you try and find a 40+ gal before you get it. A baby can live in a 20 for a while, but why buy 2 tanks. A 5 gal is only good for inverts
