Why is there a oily substance in my turtle tank?
I think it's the heater making an oily substance in my turtle tank on the surface of the water it come every single day and I need to clean every day any ideas what it is? Do I need I new heater mine is tetra!!!!

Yeah right! Your Turtle Shagged and it is all over the tank.
if you feed it the turtle pellets and don't have a filter that could be the fish oil they put in the pellets.
if its the food to prevent it feed the turtle in a diffrent tank.
if you do have a filter i don't know
Its from the turtles waste n uneaten food rotting. I had the same problem until i got a filter. It wudnt b the heater.

do you spray any thing in the room it can settle on the water and look oily Perfume fresheners ect
