where can i buy astroturf for my leopard gecko and would you

I would recommend repticarpet more than astroturf, as it is made for them. Any one, like the people above, say that loose substrate is a better choice, they do not know what they are talking about, any loose substrate is a horrible choice, because it can cause impaction, which kills leopard geckos.
Some of the people answering are missing the point about keeping leopard geckos on astroturf. You cannot safely keep a leopard gecko on any substrate that it could accidentally ingest. They are notorious for picking up pieces of bedding either in leisure or while they are snapping up food. Their intestines cannot handle foreign bodies and they will become impacted, which usually results in death.

Astroturf is the WRONG substrate for tortoises or burrowing animals.

If you are concerned about your leo being exposed to bacteria from improper cleaning or its toenails getting snagged, then try newspaper or plain paper towels. These are both very sanitary and cleaned easily (as well as free or cheap!) Simply pull out the soiled paper and replace with fresh as needed
I don't recommend AstroTurf or repticarpet. My eastern box turtle, who was very poorly cared for before I rescued him, lost several claws to the fake substrate he was kept on. It may be fine for leopard geckos (they have much smaller claws), but that risk, combined with the cleaning complications and the overall unnatural appearance make me think this is a horrible substrate for any animal.
I think aspen bedding is a better choice, It's cheap and you just throw it away pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

when it gets dirty. Astroturf may look simple enough, but hosing it off when it's

dirty will not get rid of the bacteria and things that may in the long run not be good

for your gecko.
