hey im going to my step dads house to go hunting this weekend and will my 4 turtles be ok i got zoo meds dried cranberries i could cut up and give them but i don't have the basking lamp with the timer on it but i got them by a window could i open the blins to get sun?
A weekend is too short a time for anything bad to happen. Light that passes through glass won't have any UV rays but don't worry about it.
Your turtles should be fine if you left them with plenty of water and food. Sun coming in through the window will not be helpful at all as the window blocks the UVB/UVA rays which are the elements turtles need.
as long as you turn off the light (they will sleep for most of the weekend) and feed them before you leave they should be fine.
just take your lamp from yor tank and plug it in there dont put the sun on them because it will drie them out.
