What can I feed my baby red eared slider for now? Read detai

Well I got a baby red-eared slider not so long ago that my dad found in a pool at his job. I have basic things any home will have. What can I feed my turtle for now that any home has? Like ordinary things ( bread, crackers, meat etc.).
Nothing like that. These guys need turtle pellets which are balanced and live food. Adults will eat more vegetable matter but babies will not. You said you can go to the store tomorrow .. . he'll be fine waiting till then! It is better for him to go hungry for a bit than to eat something that will make him sick. In an emergency a tiny piece of boiled white meat chicken or canned tuna in water can be offered , but this should be done RARELY.

you need to go to the reptile pet shop and purchase aquatic turtle pellets. feeding baby sliders human food isn't a good idea. when he becomes an adult you can offer him minnows on occasion. several companies make aquatic turtle food. rep-cal brand is what I feed my sliders . yardley is another brand that is good. any aquatic turtle pelleted food will work just be sure that the food is for aquatic turtles. hope this helps
No bread or crackers. No vegetables or fruit. Liver is great food. Any unprocessed meat or fish will do until you get earthworms and bait fishes. Don't be surprised if the turtle refuses food for a week or two, though. That is normal.
they cant really eat things like that. but if u do have any raw fish he could eat some of that. good luck:)
