pacific gopher snakes, or bullsnakes, get 8 feet long. mine is, and its easy to take care of. if you are looking for one, i reccomend it
Depends on what you mean by "big". To some people a brazilian rainbow boa at around 6 feet is big, to others a 9 foot common boa is small. The most common giant pet snakes are the burmese python and the reticulated python. You can also get others ... for example anacondas, scrub pythons and African Rock Pythons but these have dodgy temperaments.
Basically, if you don't have a thorough grounding in caring for and handling medium size snakes like boas its best not to get a giant snake.
You can have a Burmese Python because I see many people having them as pets and they are not venomous.
