I usually feed my terrapins bloodworm's and dry shrimp mix. I get my Terrapin food from the pet shop. But today they didn't have any bloodworm's, but they gave me something else and said Terrapins eat anything the packet contains: Bloodworm's, Brine shrimp , Mysis and Daphnia. Can i feed my terrapins these? On the front it says Tropical Quartet. Thanks
King British complete food is recommended by Vets and is a complete food for all turtles and terrapins. Any food you go for try to make sure it is a complete food. if you are feeding them a pinch of king british (not too much as it can smell) you can throw it other things like vegetables, fruit (avoid apples as they are very sweet, and contain a small poison called cianide). if you want you can also throw in a goldfish or danio, but not too often. The tropical Quartet you have been buying should only be fed two-three times a week and if you look around you will find another quartet from the same company does "turtle mix" as daphnia is more something you would give goldfish. hope this helped:)

also, avoid Supa turtle food as it is not a complete food and can cause a mineral deficiency. any food you buy, you should put "turtle vitamins" on it as they need a little extra nourishment to stay a little healthier
