My bearded dragon was dead and then came back to life?

So we found my bearded dragon in his tank today leaned limply over his log looking dead. When we picked him up he was really cold and extremely limp. It didn't look like he was breathing at all and his eyes were shut closed. However , we put him back in his cage (freaking out and thinking he was dead) when about five minutes later he just bursted right back to life. What could have caused this? Do beardies just .... play dead? Was his tank too cold? Could he possibly have parasites or something?

Thanks
Well I really think it was that his tank was too cold and he might have gone into a brumation kind of stage. You have to make sure that the temperatures in his tank are high and stay constant throughout his life. He needs 2 sides to his (just going over some basics here), a hot side and a cool side. The hot side needs to be somewhere between 90 to 100 degrees. His cool side needs to be 85 to 90 degrees and he needs a lamp right over his basking spot that heats up his basking spot to somewhere around 100 to 105 degrees. I would take him to the vet if I were you just to make sure your beardie stays healthy. A trip to the vet only costs about $ 35 and it's worth it if you want to ensure that your beardie stays healthy. Maybe if he has parasites the vet will prescribe him some kind of remedy. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Edit - Ehh, I don't know what to tell you. The last time I picked up a bearded dragon with a cold belly that wasn't moving it was actually dead. It's pretty strange. How old is he? If he's older than a year then he could possibly be brumating, which is like a state of hibernation for bearded dragons. I would try and get his temperature up to about maybe 93 to 95 degrees.
