How to take care of African Dwarf Frogs?

I am thinking of getting some pet frogs, but I want some more information on how to take care of them first.

Are they solitary or should I get a couple?

How big of a tank?

How often should I feed them?

What do I feed them?

How warm should the tank be?

What should I put in the tank?

Thanks for your information and help!=)
A lot of great questions. I have 2 African Dwarf Frogs of my own. They are adorable and really sweet. These frogs enjoy company, I would recommend getting 2 of them.

The minimum tank size for 2 of these frogs really should be 5 gallons if you are not keeping fish with them. (I have my 2 by themselves in a 5 gallon. Walmart has 5 gallon aquariums for pretty cheap.) I recommend getting a filter for their tank (Aquaclears are inexpensive and the filter basket can accommodate a wide range of filter media beyond just their brand). I recommend adding Tetra Safestart to your aquarium to aid in establishing the biological filter (a good website to visit on establishing the nitrogen cycle and biological filter is http://fins.actwin.com/mirror/begin-cycl ... ). The tank should be kept around 76 degrees Fahrenheit. In terms of decorations, silk plants work well. I don't recommend plastic as it can scratch and cut their skin. You should buy gravel that is not small enough to be swallowed. I know that PetSmart Mardi Gras colored gravel is a good size and texture and I use it in my tank. African Dwarf frogs love to hide and an easy and safe hide away for them would be a small terracotta flowerpot (you can get a small frog sized one at any craft store for under a dollar) laid down sideways in the gravel.

They should really be fed once a day and they do best with a diet of soft foods. I feed my frogs only frozen foods (bloodworms, glassworms, tubifex worms, and brine shrimp). The frozen foods really aren't that expensive, a package of bloodworms costs about $ 5.00 and will last me about 2 months. They should be fed until their stomachs are slightly rounded. These frogs can be sort of difficult to feed, they have poor eyesight and as a result a lot of their food gets lost in the gravel before they have a chance to eat it. I have found that there are 2 easy ways to feed them:

1. You can feed them by sucking up a piece of food in a turkey baster and slowly squeezing it out over their heads. They will learn to eat the food right out of the tip of the baster. (My preferred method because it gives me a chance to bond with my frogs.)

2. You can buy a small terracotta plate (at the same place that has the flower pot) and place their food in the plate. This way they can find their food and any uneaten food can be easily removed. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
