just wanted to know
A leopard gecko can go two weeks without food, but it is best to feed him/her ten crickets (or more) a week. I find it handy to put about twenty crickets or less in the cage with my leopard gecko at a time, as long as you keep an apple (or potato) slice for the crickets in the container and let him eat at his own pace. My gecko actually eats twenty crickets a week, but I don't think this amount is necessary because he has gotten a very fat tail (that is where they store extra fat). I've never tried pinkies or mealworms before, but I'm sure this method would work the same, but put the food they eat in the container and you don't need to feed quite as much to your leopard gecko
it really depends on the size of the tail.
Obviously a gecko should be fed a few times a week or as often as it will eat.
I had a gecko that got sick and even after veterinary treatment didn't eat for over 6 months. Because she had a fat tail she was fine. So obviously they CAN survive without food for a while, but that doesn't mean they should
During warm periods they should be fed daily as adults (maybe 8-10 large crickets). Leopard geckos have a hibernation period and as long as they go into it with a nice, fat tail, they can go a few months on their fat reserves as long as the temperatures remain cool.
My tremper engima girls is goin a month in a week now without food, lost 1 gram. I offer her food every night but she doesnt take any, dang winter month and burmation .
One of my boys just ate his first meal in over a month he lost 1/2 of a gram. I offered food twice a day just to make sure he wasn't hungry lol. I always hate when they go off eating freaks me out every time.
