Do they get big or do they stunt there growth somehow?
They get BIG!!! My fried had one that he gave to an education program yrs back, it was about 8 ft long
ye they do sell them in pet stores. i know two around my area with them in (Warrington cheshire,? UK). they are babies and sold for ￡ 450 + but you do need a special permit for these as they do grow large and can/will kill you if they have the chance.
i don't see the point in getting a 'pet' that can't be handled to be honest especially this kind of animal but everyone is different ain't they.
If they are stunted it means they are unhealthy. Many stores used to sell caimans but i haven't seen any in a while. I get mine from breeders. Gators are still protected in most places and you'll need a permit to get one.

If i were you i wouldn't buy it because you may need A lot of money (depend of its size), license and insurance if the gator eat you alive lol!!
