Bearded dragon only eats waxworms.?

My 5 inch beardie baby only eats waxworms. When I put crickets in he just watches them run by he doesn't like the chase or something. I know waxworms are fattening but cmon is it really going to hurt to feed him that instead of crickets ...?
Okay beardies can be picky. I would stop feeding him waxworms even if its all he eats because it makes them fat and unhealthy. Eventually his/her instincts will kick in and they will eat to survive. Try feeding squash as well. If you use a cheese grater and slice it up they will eat it. i hope this helps. I know bearded babies can be irritating and you get worried at times but they usually grow out of most of it at a year old . Also there is the threat of impaction at 5 inches I would wait to start feeding those to him at 10 inches. I really hope this helps.
mines the same, what i do i chop up salad and throw the worms on top so when he eats the worms he takes the salad as well.

mine also eats (for a treat) Chocolate hob nobs, peaches.

my dragon is fit and healthy and 5 years old.
Get him to the gym! he's just lazy ..... or maybe he has weak bones ...
