I am getting a baby bearded dragon and i can't find baby habitat starter kit what so ever but i could really use one. It needs to include a good size tank to last a while, heat lamps etc. I could also use a starter kit including baby supplements, food and stuff of that nature. please help, thank you:)
I am not sure how much help it would be, but you could try ebay. There is always loads of stuff on there for the UK , obviously not sure about state side. The other option that will be a little more expensive is purchase one from your local store.
Hi, I have a reptile shop and have been breeding bearded dragons for a number of years now. Don 't know where you are but I am just outside Birmingham city centre. We do a special offer with a 3 ft viv, all electrics, decor, substrate, vitamin powders and baby beardy for ￡ 254.00. Depends on what you have to spend, I wouldnt touch a plastic or glass enclosure, wood is far superior from a lot of aspects, there are lots of 2nd hand ones out there you can get at a very good price, just make sure its a wooden viv (minimum 36 "x18" x18 "will do it for life, bit bigger if you casn but this is the minimum). Beardies grow so quickly that we always recommend people get a" full size "viv to start with to save wasting money ... yes, I 'm a woman and I don't like wasting money!. If you go to different shops that are offering special offers, realy do compare what they include in the set up, people have come to me saying that they've been quoted far cheaper but when it has been broken down, ours has been a better price, so realy look into what you are getting for your money.Eg after having tested 2 uv tubes we recommend a 12% output against a popular 10% one, and the results were amazing, we only recommend the one now but it is dearer than the other .... so, as said, depends on what is being offered in a set up. I haven't given the names of the tubes for obvious reasons , don't want to get sued! As I said, don't know where you are but if you want to ring me at the shop with any queries, I'd be glad to help.
