what are some good reptiles to keep and not starters but not

not bearded dragons, blue tongues, alligator or iguanas
hmm ........ I breed Crested Geckos they are an interesting reptile that I would recommend. Cresteds can live at room temperature and thus do not need excess heating. It also depends on what type of reptile. For a snake I would get a corn snake they are not too expensive and not very big. If I were you I'd go to www.kingsnake.com and check out the different varieties. I would also recommend anoles because they are fun and easy to take care of. I purchased some of my reptiles from there and haven't had any problems with the service. Hope this helps!
Well I would describe cresties as starters, but there are some other cute reptiles out there that make great pets.

Day geckos ... these guys be-yoo-tiful and more complex than other geckos so not a starter, however they have very delicate skin so shouldn't really be handled.

Fire skinks ... stunning little lizards, kinda unusual but not too complex.

Crocodile skinks ... these guys are beautiful but can be hard to care for and hard to find.
