if i have 1 long uav tube bulb (Straight not curly) and one of those heat lamps that dont give off light do i need to leave the uav on at night? are the no-light heat lamps good? how much would 10 gallon tank , uav light, and no-light heat lamp cost all together?
You do not need to leave the UV light on and that would probably disturb your animal to have the light on for 24/7. The heat lamp should probably go 24/7 if temperatures in your house fluctuate a lot or are generally below 68 degrees. Most heating bulbs don't give off light unless they're night lights or specially designed bulbs which are more expensive. The cost for all of that will probably be around $ 60.
Strip lights (long tube bulbs) are usually UVB lighting, and don't produce heat. UVA lights are usually called "basking" bulbs. A no-light heat light would be a ceramic heat emitter or a night bulb???? You want the animal to have some sense of day and night, so turn the lights off at night. If it gets below 70 at night, get a heat pad or night bulb for night time.
