Cornsnakes will brumate in the winter if the temperatures are low enough. Here in SC they do go into brumation, but in areas like South Florida where the temperatures stay warm year round, they may never go into brumation. Captively kept cornsnakes do not brumate unless you drop the temperatures and put them in the dark. As long as the temperatures are in the normal range and lights cycles are the same, they will remain active. Brumation is not necessary for health and normally we only brumate if we are going to breed .
I think so but im not 100% sure on that. most snakes hibernate but if you have the right lighting and heating i dont think they do.
