Pet Store throwing away live animals?

My aunts ex husband is a dumpster diver. He will never pass up a good look through a stores trashcan. One night about a week ago he was digging through a petsmart dumpster and found a box full of geckos in individual plastic bowls. Most of the Geckos where dead, but he found two live ones that he found homes for. He was absolutely furious that someone would throw away a live animal. Should this be reported to someone? If so who? One of the Geckos is now at my aunts house and has a new tank, but is very small and skinny, They think he'll pull through, but it's a little too early to tell.
Without a doubt it should be reported, that is wicked for a pet shop to do that, Petsmart aswell, RSPCA would deffo be the ones to report it too, Glad at least 2 got rescued, That petsmart should have its license taken off it if it does things like that, what else must they do to all the other animals and never get found out, as its simply pure chance that the geckos got discovered by your aunts ex, good on him for rescuing them, but tell RSPCA about what he found without a doubt.
I would tell him to continue checking the dumpster , and if he finds any more animals, to videotape and take photos, and then call Animal Control/Humane Society. What they are doing is cruelty to animals. If they have animals that they don't want, why don't they give them away?
Definately report this to the local animal control. Unfortunately, he probably didn't get pictures, did he? I would also take a look at the animals that are currently inside the store to make sure those aren't sick/dying as well.
Report this to the local animal control/RSPCA. That is not right, and just think, if he hadn't of found em, they'd be buried underground suffocating in a wasteland somewhere.: )
