My hermit crab has been sitting there HELP?

My hermit crab boo has been sitting in a hole for about 2 weeks I knew he was molting at the beginning but he still not coming out
Pull him out and dip him in luke warm water
"It is not unusual for an average sized crab to spend about 4-8 weeks going through the whole process, during which time it may stay completely buried in the sand. "

The moulting process has many steps, also the larger the crab the longer the process. It isn't necessarily bad that your crab has stayed in the hole for so long. Keep checking him, but continue to just leave him be because he's probably stressed out.

My best advice is: keep an eye on him. Don't disturb him. If you're really worried, try to pick up his scent. If no scent, he's not dead; if there's a weird, odd scent (like iodide or something) that is the "moulting" sent; if there's a strong, rancid, rotted fishy scent, it may mean he is dead. But don't yet jump to conclusions. I think your hermit crab should be okay because they do take a fairly long time to moult. But I do understand your concern.

They are very nice, and tons of good information.

Try to see if he is moving but do not pull him out, put some peanut butter in for him. They love the stuff and sometimes they will come up after being down a while when they smell it.

2 weeks isnt that long. Sometimes they stay down for quite a while, or he could be coming up in the middle of the night then going back down.
Look to see if he is atleast moving. Then take him to the sink and run slightly warm water (not deep)

and place him down. he probably needs a good cleaning
