My friend is someone I knew for a long time. He wants to know why do some buy snakes on impulse. I remember one time he got so very very mad at his friend for buying an African Rock Python and releasing it into the wild when it was an adult. My friend got so mad at his friend, and has trouble getting over it. I think my friend has the right to be mad at him for doing that to his python. The reason why is he's been keeping snakes for almost 40 years. He even had a Puff Adder, you may remember from one of my previous questions.
However, my friend wants to know, why do some people buy snakes as pets on impulse?
They like the idea of owning them (just like with any animal) they like the idea of being able to show it off like its a accessory but when something goes wrong they ditch it, or neglect it. Its just the thought of owning something that not many else have. Its a pity for the animals ...
Because kids can convince their rich parents to buy it for them, then they loose interest.
