I have two leopard geckos. A male and a female. Housed in a large sterilite tub that would easily house four of the little critters. Theres a moist hide, a cool hide, and a warm hide. Plenty of water. Usually free crickets.
One .. How do you go about heating a leopard gecko cage if they don't like lights? My container has reached a max temp. Of 80F, and when I open the lid on it it all escapes. I don't know what to do. They digest correctly and use the bathroom a ton, so I don't think it's TOO big of a problem ... But I know they'd love it a lot better if it were hot.
Two .. My female is turning ... White. Very slowly. When the male shed he never did this. It also doesn't look like she has skin getting ready to shed. Is there anything it could be other than shedding?
Three .. What do you guys keep in your Leo cages? Is there anything I should consider adding to make them happier?
Here's a picture of another gecko, but with the same "condition" as my girl Christa. This was just found on the page of a Leo care site. But as you can see especially on the top of his head, his skin just looks ... Kinda frosted, I guess.

Sorry I only know 1 and 3 but not 2.
1. Under tank heaters work the best. Some people as use lights to supplement the heat if the tank doesn't get warm enough. You can also use a ceramic heat emitter. They produce heat but no light. I don't know how you would go about heating with either or the "lights" as both get warm enough to melt plastic.
3. I keep all the necessary stuff (hides, water, etc ..) but have some decor that is just for looks in one of my tanks. I've also tried to make it pretty natural using slate tiles instead of carpet. I use only desert (ish) decor. Other then that that's it.
1. Under tank heater, you just apply it to the bottom of the tank, and it works great. it would easily bring it up to 90-95
2. No idea. Sorry.
3. Theres not really much to say, i have all the necessities, 2 hides and a moist hide, water, food, calcium dish, 2 plants, 3 little logs stacked together, she seems happy so i guess i'm doing alright=]
