When I try holding my leo, he runs until i slowly and gently grab him. When I hold him he sometimes struggles and sometimes he's calm. He has bit me once before wich made me be scared of him.
I don't think he likes being held and he really loves it in his cage.
Everything in his cage is perfect for him, he even has two other leos that are babys.
He has gotten big wich makes me really scared of him. I'm not usually scared of any thing but since he bit me im a little scared.
Thanks and how do I know not to be scared of him?
Well for starters having other leos could be stressing him out. You want to take them out and house them all seperately, never, ever house males together, and Im assuming you dont know if they are males or females. Secondly, because he is bigger he can easily kill them or really injure them. I suggest putting them ALL in their OWN tank. Or sell them if you dont know what your doing. Im sick of coming on here and reading people's stupid questions because they didn't bother doing research before they got a reptile
5 $ you can buy a beginners guid to leapard gecko's .. you really have to try to fail with one .. like sara said keepm seperate and dont be a big wuss about getting bit, its a gecko for god sakes, i raise nile and argus monitors-get bit by one of those and than come talk to me. get a book, read it and learn from it , you cant go wrong
You have a grown leopard gecko with 2 babies?! Obviously you know nothing about leopard geckos. You need to separate them right away. First of all leos should not be housed together at all, they are solitary animals and will do best alone. They have no need for company.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com Also, housing a grown gecko with babies is asking for trouble in so many ways! Your grown leo could hurt the babies, even kill them. He could eat all the food which would cause the babies to get sick/starve/die. Because they are babies you do not know what sex they are and if you have 2 males together they will fight, often to the death.
So your first step is to house then EACH SEPARATELY. If you don't have the means to do that then you need to find them a home with someone who can care for them.
It sounds like you have no idea what you are doing, so you need to either do a lot of research, adjust your set up appropriately, and learn how to handle them. Of give them someone who knows how to take care of leopard geckos.
It's really frustrating when people get leopard geckos without learning how to take care of them and then asking stupid questions (well put by previous answer) about what to do when things go wrong.
PS: your gecko is probably not sick, he is most likely stressed with his poor living conditions and being in a tank with geckos that he should not be housed with.
