How do I care for this Anole Lizard tonight? I found it outside, my cat was playing with it and I saved it. I rinsed it with water and it just has a tiny wound on it's rib cage. It is exhausted and has been sleeping on me for about an hour now and enjoys being petted with a q-tip. I think it likes me because when I tried to put it back outside on a window seal it kept jumping back onto my hand and falling asleep. I am going to go to the pet store tomorrow to get an Anole starter kit but I need to know what to do for it tonight in the mean time, any suggestions?
anoles do not need a lot to be cared for. i would put it in something with a lid and some air holes. they eat insects, they need a shallow water dish. and thats about it for just tonight
keep it in a glad container with holes at the top. put dirt, grass, etc. in the container, and a stick for it to clib on, try to clean the wound with neosporin or something (not alchohol). i think you can feed him small cricketsand other small insects.
If you have a large tupperware container, put toilet paper or a paper towel over the bottom. Poke holes in the top.
