Because Every time I Ask Him He Says No Because He Thinks That They Stink. And Im Tired Of Telling Him That They Don't Stink But He Still Wont Believe Me. He Also Says No Because He Says That Lizards/Geckos Are Animals That Should Be Free In The Wild. And Ive Told Him That Leopard Geckos Are Considered Semi domesticate But Then He Says Dont Talk To Him About Animals. Any Advice On How I Can Convince Him I Will Appreciate Answers:].
Hi, I have a leopard gecko, and believe me, you can go months without cleaning them, because gecko's do not produce body odour, they are fun and easy to look after, why not try and save up for one your self, you can use a fish tank to keep it in and heat mats cost about ￡ 15 and Gecko's cost about ￡ 30, If you save it up, your father will see you are really trying, and he may help you along, gecko's do not require much space and cost under ￡ 175 to look after them for there whole life, gecko's live for about 20 years, they are perfect pets for children and adults, and they are so easy to look after, make sure you get permission before you buy one, and you have to get your father to trust you and know you will look after it properly. Hello there is no way to convince him however you can do something. Find a local rescue. Volunteer your time there. Have your dad see that you are serious about learning about hteir husbandry, care and needs. Perhaps when he sees you are serious, he wil open up a little.
Then as you volunteer and learn more,. And IF he agrees then you can talk to the rescue about giving you a gecko nad set up and then there is little to no cost out of pocket. This will assist in the transition as well.

They don't have body odor. Just ask him to take you to a reptile store, just for "looking", & then ask the guy if you can handle one then & there.; D Then when your holding him, ask the guy if they smell and all that jazz. Then he'll give you a lecture and your dad will be convinced.
