If the anoles are living together @ the store, then you should buy two from the same bin that they are living in.
Therefore you only need one cage. But if the anoles come seperately, I'd just get one. D:

Firstly just coz there housed together at the pet store doesnt mean its a good idea. Either get one or 3-4. One male to 2-3 females or 3-4 females. A male will harass a lone female to mate all the time thus killing her. even tho you might not want eggs its a better idea to do it that way then allow the female to be bred to death. Males are easily sexed by their .... umm. . i forget what its call @. @ the skin under there jaws. They use that to attract mates and to discourage other males. 2 males will fight and some will kill. remember even tho there small they need a fairly big set up. For 3-4 id say no less then a 20 tall (and thats even small) Be sure to provide good UVB lighting as pet stores are crap: D
