i have rep-cal and reptile plus advice. i got it a few years ago for my first reptile, a leopard gecko, but over time they just got pushed aside. now i have a ball python and a baby carpet python. both bottles say they work for all reptiles. but the instructions on the bottles and the ones i found online said nothing about the dosage to put on mice and mice pinkies. thanks
As long as you have the correct enclosure at the proper heat and humidity with several hides and fresh water your snake will be happy. Feed every 7-10 days, the appropriate size rat. Throw the supplements in the trash.
if you are feeding pythons you do not need to supplement calcium. they get their calcium from the bones of the mice they eat. I have been working with reptiles of over thirty years and have never had to supplement calcium for constrictors. I have had to give calcium injections on rare occasions only because the snakes that were rescued were victims of poor husbandry. healthy pythons do not need calcium supplements. as long as you use proper equipment for heat, lighting and feed good you should have no need for calcium supplements. also those supplements have an expiration date on the bottle. hope this helps
Your best bet is to bring the bottle into a pet store that specializes on the breed of pet (in your case snake) and ask a worker. I have done this before and I found it very helpful.
