I have looked up a lot of information on bearded dragons, but there isn't really good information about why a lone bearded dragon waves, only when they are in pairs or more, i was just wondering why my 15 week old bearded dragon, with an unknown gender, was randomly waving his arm in a circular motion if there is not another one there, im not worried, just curious. thanks
It's common in young bearded dragons to wave their arms. It's their way of saying 'I recognize that you're bigger than you, please don't eat me to you. It's a way of submission, to you. Or they could be doing this to their reflection.
Its common for beardies to do that, it can mean a few things, but it usually it means they are happy and they have territorial dominance of the area. Other reasons: he may be trying to tell his reflection that this is his territory, he may be happy, or he is ackknowledging you are bigger than him and saying "im a bearded dragon, dont hurt me". Hope i helped
It is just a sign of submission. It's his way of submitting to you or even his own reflection in the glass.
