I lost my corn snake!?

So I accidently left the lid off when I was cleaning his cage and he got out! I've looked under every bed cover, every pile of clothes, every open cupboard, everything. I just want to know what I can do to find him and how far he can go. Should I look on every level of the house? Could he of fallen off off the balcony? Or are they smart enough to hold themselves up? I even had my dogs around last night, what if my dog hurt him. Or killed him? Could he get in my bed? In my sheets? Omg I'm so worried
they can get anywhere they can fit but they are most likely in hot, snugly and damp places like under your floor boards or in walls, maybe in your shoes. i lost mine last year and found it again in my shoe, i then lost it again and i haven't seen it since.

i doubt the dog would of had it because they hide away because they don't like open spaces. just keep looking on the level you lost him on in all the places you wouldn't think of him going ... he will be there !
Look for him at night. Get out a flashlight. Close all doors, windows, and block all holes. You should place a small mouse in a cage. In the morning, the snake MIGHT be trying to get inside the cage and get it. You should keep a secure cage in the first place. A lost snake could be anywhere. A good trick to find a missing snake is if you have wooden floors, sprinkle flour all over the floor. In the morning, you might find snake tracks. Remember, snakes are most active at night. Once you put him back, he will try to find the same way out again. Another possibility is that he could be outside. If the snake was lost a short time ago, it will be in a 15 feet radius. Just keep looking. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Hope this helps! Good luck finding him!
Snakes, especially little ones, tend to dehydrate quickly when they are loose in the house, and will therefore seek out a moist hiding place. That is why escaped snakes are often recovered from bathrooms or piles of laundry.

Set a few damp towels in strategic locations along walls. If the snake encounters one, it is likely to stay put for a while.

Baiting it with food or a heat lamp is not likely to work.

I also recommend that you buy an actual snake cage. Many dealers are on kingsnake.com.

Aquariums with removable tops aren't escape proof.
This has happened to me twice. Once I found the snake under a box a week later and the second time I never found him and suspect he slipped out a crack in the door to outside.

Usually they are nearby at first. They can fit in the tiniest of places and will look for a hiding place ... usually under something or into a small crevice. Don't assume any place is too small to hide ... look everywhere . Look in shoes ... my friend found hers in a shoe once! They can climb but most are going to stay low. Look around curtain/blinds. Look under the fridge or stove ... they like warmth. It's amazing where they can end up. Good luck!
I have lost my corn snakes 3 times in the past. Look behind cupboards and book shelves. Thats where i found mine. They usually look for somewhere warm. I havent tried this before but you could leave some defrosted mice in seperate rooms. Close all your doors so it can't travel around. If a mouse is eaten then you know he is in the room. I wish you all the best finding him/her. It can be stressful.
u better try to get a snake expert Fast u may never know he can strangle some one in your house when they are sleeping GOD FOR BIT but corn snakes can get dangerous
