ok ive been feeding my bearded dragon them for quit some time now but they never eat food to make them more nutritional which is quite a let down so i got her crickets and they are eating like crazy but ive heard they smell and escape. what do you think i should do to make the locust eat
i use the bug gel and bug grub from pets at home and all the locust do is take one little drink and then poop on it lol
I would feed the locusts what they normally eat (cabbage and such, I believe) and purchase some calcium dust and vitamin dust. Sprinkle the locusts right before you feed your beardie (alternate the calcium and vitamins, check the back of the package to see what schedule is recommended). She will get the nutrition from the dust, I do this when I get crickets and don't want to wait until they are gut loaded to feed them to my beardie (They do smell, and escape, and kill each other while they are waiting to be eaten. Yuck.)
