WHy does my bearded dragon get so deffinsve when it goes outside?
Is it used to being outside? Does it go outside often? Maybe it doesn't know what "outside" is, so it doesn't know what to expect. That may be why it gets so defensive -it doesn't know what to expect.
Prob because he is not use to the out side he spent most of his time in your house and in his enclosure. So going out side opens up a new world for him (sounds, sights and smells) it could be its either freaking him out a little or he is just extremely amazed either way he will eventually get use to it if you take him out a'lot. and i also read that "sometimes they can get aggressive soaking up the sun outside, out of fear plus since they soak up the UV rays and get vitamins, some people say they get some chemical reactions they dont normally get from a indoor UV light, and that causes them to act differently. It really does make sense that whole natural sunlight chemical changes thing + all the new things hes experiencing outside. natural wind, weird textures of the ground, living animals, people, wilderness."
