Just wondering my friends brother is getting rid of a tank and I am wanting to get a baby yellow belly or some other species. Would it be fine?

a 10 to 15 gallon tank is fine for around a year for the housing of baby turtles. you will need to up grade the size in about a year. I suggest you get a new enclosure that will accommodate the turtle for the rest of it's life and have it ready to go before moving him to it. you are also going to need u.v. lighting along with a heat lamp for basking. hope this helps
