A little bit ago I saw my male leopard gecko licking its vent (in its "bathroom" corner"). I just got him out to inspect his vent and see if he defecated. No deification, and no oddities around his vent. This isn't anything I've ever seen or heard of, so can someone please shed a little light on this?

ok this sounds like he just mated with a female do you have a female in the same tank with him? if you saw any pink things come out of his vent then that means he was mating and he is cleaning his self males always do that after they mate with a female or it could be he just cleaning him self but i dont know to many leopard geckos that clean themselves normally all i know is that they clean themselves after they mate but its nothing to worry about its nothing wrong with him he just probably tryna get something off his vent or like i said he probably just mated with a female add some details letting me know if you have a female with him or not ok :)
