How much food should i feed my leopard gecko?
im planning on getting a leopard gecko. some people said i should feed it food as big as its head ... and some people said like 10 crickets every other day. its going to be a full mature adult, so i was thinking 6 dusted crickets everyother day, with a little bit of lettuce to maintain a healthy diet. and of course water every day. is this a good amount ... or too much?

answer:
about 6-12 crickets every other day to every 2 days you may go. Feeding it food as big as its head is true in a way. You dont wan't to feed it anything too big or it won't digest properly. And leopard geckos do not eat veggies. And it being an adult you don't have to dust every time. Once a week is good enough for an adult

They are strict insectivores ... no lettuce or any kind of plant. An adult leo should be able to to eat large crickets without any problem. Just make sure the crickets are properly gutloaded (fed and watered). I feed my guy 5-6 crickets twice a week and a superworm or two on the other days if he wants one. Some days he's not hungry and that's OK.

No reptile should be fed anything bigger than the space between their eyes. An adult gecko should be fed every other day, and allowed to eat whatever he will consume in 20 minutes. Dusting with calcium powder only needs to be done one to two times a week for adults.

Like everyone will say crickets, waxworms, mealworms, and I don't think you should feed him plants Good of luck=D
