How do i care for kenyan sand boas?
are sand boas good for intermediate snake keepers who have kept three snakes before and how do you care for them and what humidity and temp (in celcius) do they need

answer:
I've found at least one of them easy to keep. They need to be warmer and drier than most beginner snakes. Mine is still under a year old, and lives in a 10 gallon glass tank with aspen shavings for bedding. I'm swapping him over to sand soon. They need a very small water dish to keep from upping the humidity of the tank, ie as low as you can keep the humidity the better. Some keepers only provide water a few times a week, I prefer to leave a very small dish in at all times and let it dry out before I refill it. I have a heat lamp on the tank getting the hot side up to 95 degrees F (35 C). I let it drop into the 70s F (21-26 C) at night.

Unlike my other snakes I do feed this one in his tank. he gets too nervous out of the tank. I feed him on a deli cup lid to keep the mouse out of the bedding. I will soon have to get a larger lid as he is now noticeably bigger. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Other snakes I ' ve kept are corns, balls, ribbon, and milk snakes, so certainly a beginner. Or I'm just lazy and prefer easy snakes.

I own one and checked numerous care sheets on them.
