Taking my turtles off of pellets and starting a new diet?
well my boys have about out grown pellets, going through two cans a week, plus crickets as a treat and meal worms (pellets every other day and meal worms, crickets, or shrimp, twice a week) but i do believe they are out growing pellets plus they are ready for vegetation.
there are 3 male RES and 1 is 41/2 inches and the other two are about 5 inches if it matters
i would like some ideas on a balanced diet layed out on a week to week basis for RES of this size

I feed my turtles mealworms, crickets, snails, grasshoppers, caterpillars, freshwater shrimp, corn on the cob, goldfish, soybeans, apples, oatmeal, superworms, timothy hay, bananas , chicken, cactus, dandelion greens, carrots, mysis shrimp, whole wheat bread, and oat hay.
Pellets still provide a good balanced diet. Feeding feeder fish (guppies and minnows) is excellent. You are doing well. Yes, they do need vegetation as they get older! Here is a good site to check for diet ideas;
