Is it normal for a baby bearded dragon to bulge their throat

Is it normal for a baby bearded dragon to bulge their throat out similar to what a frog does?
My baby bearded dragon always bulges his throat out like a frog does sometimes. He also got very hyper out of no where and runs up and down his log where his light is. Then he scratches his head on the screen top above the light. Is this all normal???

Yep, that's normal. He might be trying to stretch the skin to get a shed started. The head scratching is most definitely due to the itch of shedding. That's all normal. Just wait til you see him eye bulging! That's normal, too, but it looks freaky and scares a lot of people!

Give him an extra bath or two during shedding to help him out. A baby needs a bath to stay hydrated about every other or every 3 days anyway, so a daily bath during shedding will make him feel better.
