Is my Beardie any kind of morph?
I have a bearded dragon juvenile and im trying to figure out if he is a morph of some kind, i was told that both of his/her parents were fire engine red and im trying to figure out if he's "special"
mostly when he gets mad he darkens up a bit but these pics are the best i could get
usually he's a lighter orange ish

answer: He is a normal for sure if you bought from pet store like petco/ petsmart. If from breeder he could start of like this and turn a little brighter. if you want ill show you what my dragon looked like when i got her and what she looks like now. email me jarqu10@aol.com she looked very normal/ sandfire now is very bright.
He looks awesome!! It's hard to tell when they're young..most bearded dragons colors will change as the get older. Some will get brighter, some will get more dull. Right now, he doesn't look like he has any special morph in him, but watch him as he grows.

My daughter volunteers at a local reptile rescue center and has brought home dozens of rescued reptiles over the years..including 3 bearded dragons.
as far as i know, when the under-chin is black, it means he or she is annoyed and doesn't want to be bothered, however if it is his whole body, it's just the color he is born with, it is possible to change colors, my beardie was orange at first, but now he's green and white, i call him a mood lizzard, but now i'm trying to find out what yellow chin means, hope this helps
