When should i breed my rabbits?
I have a mini lop and a netherlands rabbits and i dont know when to breed them????
You can breed them AFTER you do your RESEARCH on rabbit breeding!
DONT BREED THEM. ? _ ?
first of all you shouldnt breed them as they wont be pure breed, it is very dangeorous to cross breed as each breed of rabbit have different shaped skulls and can in some cases cause skull diformaty. plus when it comes to seling the kits, you will be lucky to get £5 for them with them being cross breed. when people are buying rabbits they like pure breed just to know they are as healthy as can be. if you are going to breed regardles to any ones answers, i sugest getting ur self a new rabbit of the same breed as one you already have. with mini lops you can breed females from about 6 months and males at around 7 months. you must not breed a female rabbit for the first time if she is already at the age of one year, if you plan on breeding rabbits she must be bread before she reaches the year old. if she is bread for the first time after she may not be able to carry the kits, and even worse she wont be able to give birth. its something to do with her pelvic bone closing up if not bread. this will stress her out!!!

other stuff you have to think about is where your going to keep the kits when they need wheening, you need to seperate the females fromt he males, which will mean you need at least 2 spare hutches. please do your reasearch before doing this, you need to know things like what to feed an expection doe. and how much protine you need to feed them.
