i just got a rabbit and tried to introduce my dog to it she just sniffs it and licks her chops stares and whines does this mean she wants to eat it or lick it. also i had a rabbit when i first got my dog and she was ok she jsut licked it and played but that was when she was a puppy its been 4 yrs since she's been around a rabbit.how do i make them coexist. my dog is a german shepard lab mix plz help
She is going to kill it and or eat it!
Probably your dog will kill the rabbit, don't expose it to your dog.
If she's had experience with rabbits without a problem, she should be fine. If your dog is the first animal described, she's sniffing the rabbit b/c it's a new scent welcomed into the house. If your dog is named chops, then i would guess she is staring and whining because she is anxious to go and invstigate this new animal and possibly play with it. I doubt she would eat the rabbit if she lived with one before.

.....But, i may be wrong. Your dog may have changed since she was a pup and may not like rabbits anymore. For the rabbit's safety, i wouldn't introduce them, just incase. Just think: how does your dog react to the little animals outside?
I don't know, sometimes dogs know the difference between animals that are pets and wild animals. I think it just depends on your dog. They might become good friends it's really not that uncommon they are both social animals. With that said, don't leave them alone together!
I also have dogs and rabbits. One of the dogs is totally fine with the bunnies, but the other dog (which is a small terrier breed) would love nothing more than to kill them I'm sure.
