Since my rabbit has long fur, carefresh bedding and similar ones stick to his fur really badly and even get knotted up. So, today I went and got some "all natural" paper pellet bedding. Its good for not sticking to his fur, but he keeps eating it ... While it is natural and just paper I am worried about an impaction or something. He has plenty of food pellets, water, hay, and chew toys, so I'm not sure why he insists on eating the paper bedding. Is it really bad for him to be eating it?
If the bedding your using is made up of a natural substance such as pellets made from recycled paper, trees etc then your rabbit will happily eat it. its quet common for rabbits to do this. it will not affect your pet in any way and if you want to look into more detail you can read the pacaging label just to chek exactly what is in the bedding you are providing your bunny with, that way you can see if it is harmful or not.
He could just be stuffing it in his cheeks, then once he goes in his bed, he puts it around him.
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com They do that to stalk up, so they won't have to do a lot of trips. They do the same with food.
That's what they always do. It always looks like they're eating it though.
